4. Data Deletion Timeline
4.1 Processing Time
We will acknowledge your deletion request within 2 business days and complete
the deletion process within 30 days from the date of your confirmed request.
4.2 What Happens During Deletion
- Days 1-2: Identity verification and request acknowledgment
- Days 3-5: Data identification and compilation of deletion summary
- Days 6-25: Deletion from production databases, backup systems, and archives
- Days 26-30: Verification of complete deletion and final confirmation
5. Data Retention and Exceptions
Important: While we honor all legitimate deletion requests, certain data may
be retained for legal, regulatory, or security purposes as outlined below.
5.1 Legal Retention Requirements
We may be required to retain certain data for specific periods to comply with:
- Tax and Accounting Laws: Financial transaction records for 7 years
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Regulations: Business verification documents for
5 years

5.2 Limited Retention After Deletion

Data deleted from production systems may persist in backup archives for up to 90

6. Impact of Data Deletion
Before requesting data deletion, please be aware of the following consequences:

- Account Access: Complete data deletion will result in permanent account
closure. You will not be able to access WeComm services.
- Irreversible Action: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We
cannot recover your data after deletion.
- Service Interruption: Active subscriptions will be canceled, and ongoing
WhatsApp campaigns will be stopped.
- Historical Records: All order history, customer data, and analytics will be
permanently deleted.
- Re-registration: If you wish to use WeComm again in the future, you will
need to create a new account and reconfigure all settings.
7. Third-Party Data Deletion
7.1 Meta/Facebook Data
WeComm integrates with Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Data stored by Meta is governed by
their own privacy policies. To delete data stored by Meta:
- Visit your Facebook Business Manager settings
- Revoke our app's access to your WhatsApp Business Account
- Delete your WhatsApp Business Account through Meta's platform
- Follow Meta's data deletion procedures at Facebook Help Center
7.2 Customer Data Responsibility
If your customers request deletion of their data (phone numbers, messages, order history),
you are responsible as the data controller to:
- Notify us of the customer's deletion request
- Provide necessary customer identification for verification
- Ensure compliance with your own privacy policy and applicable laws
We will assist you in deleting customer data from our systems within 14 days of receiving
your verified request.
8. Alternative to Complete Deletion
If you're concerned about privacy but don't want to permanently delete your account, consider
these alternatives:
8.1 Account Deactivation
- Temporarily suspend your account without deleting data
- Stop all message processing and data collection
- Reactivate anytime within 12 months
8.2 Data Export
- Download a complete copy of your data before deletion
- Receive data in portable formats (CSV, JSON)
- Transfer data to another service provider

- Delete specific categories of data while keeping your account active
